LOTS FOR BUILDERS
Builders have been acquiring "ready-to-go" lots ---- that is about to change!   
In this current market, builders have generally been able to acquire completed lots at discount prices.  However, the once-large inventory of such lots in good markets will soon be a thing of the past.   Builders will soon (if not already) be faced with the need for lots developed from raw land -- either "future phase" land acquired with lots, or new land acquisitions. 

In the past builders developed lots either "in-house" or through pre-arranged transactions with land developers --- who in large part no longer exist.  This will be a year of decision for builders --- how to create an inventory of lots that work best for their needs without returning to high costs and overhead.
